The Dance Workshop Studio Terms & Conditions

Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, organized, and welcoming environment for every dancer and family. By enrolling and participating at The Dance Workshop, dancers and their parents/guardians agree to follow the policies below.

Waiting Room & Lobby

• The waiting room is intended for dancers preparing for class and for parents/guardians when necessary.

• Please keep noise and activity to a minimum while classes are in session.

• Children must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are participating in a scheduled class.

• Siblings and children not participating in class may not enter the studio/classroom space or disrupt classes in any way. They must remain with and be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times.

• The Dance Workshop is not responsible for supervising dancers before or after their scheduled class time.

• Dancers should be picked up promptly at the conclusion of class.

• To maintain a safe and distraction-free environment, studio staff reserves the right to require drop-off/pick-up only for families who are unable to follow the waiting room, sibling supervision, or class disruption policies.

Food, Snacks & Kitchen Usage

• The Dance Workshop is not responsible for providing meals or snacks to dancers.

• If your dancer will be at the studio for more than two consecutive classes, please send them with an appropriate snack and/or meal as needed.

• Dancers should also bring a labeled water bottle.

• Food and drinks should be consumed only in designated areas and dancers are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.

• Please be mindful of food allergies and avoid sharing food with other dancers. This is a peanut-free & treenut studio.

• Kitchen access is limited to authorized dancers and staff as permitted by The Dance Workshop.

• Food and drinks must remain in designated area (Dancer Lounge) and are not permitted inside dance studios unless specifically approved.

Respectful Conduct & Bullying

The Dance Workshop is committed to maintaining an environment where dancers feel safe, supported, and respected.

Bullying, harassment, intimidation, exclusion, threatening behavior, discriminatory comments, inappropriate physical contact, or repeated unkind behavior will not be tolerated. This policy applies to conduct occurring:

• At the studio

• During classes, rehearsals, competitions, performances, and studio events

• In studio-related group chats or digital communications

• On social media when the behavior directly involves or impacts members of The Dance Workshop community

Concerns should be brought directly to studio management rather than addressed between children or through social media.

Social Media, Photos & Privacy

We ask all families to respect the privacy of our dancers, instructors, and families.

• Photos or videos featuring dance workshop logos or another dancer may not be posted or shared publicly without appropriate permission.

• No photos or videos may be taken in locker rooms or changing areas under any circumstances.

• Families should not post private studio matters, conflicts, disciplinary situations, or information about another dancer or family on social media.

• Studio choreography, rehearsals, costumes, competition material, or other content identified as private or not yet public should not be posted without studio approval.

• The studio may maintain a separate photo/video release for images captured and used by The Dance Workshop for promotional purposes.

Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment

By enrolling a dancer at The Dance Workshop, the parent/guardian acknowledges that they have reviewed these policies and agree to ensure that their dancer and accompanying family members or guests follow them.

The Dance Workshop may update studio policies as needed to support the safety, privacy, and positive experience of its dancers and families.
